Caroline de Monaco invite Charlène sur son yacht pour apaiser les tensions
Princess Caroline of Monaco Shut It Down in a Red Caped Dress
While you were fussing over the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attending the Royal Variety Performance last night, you might've missed some more royal action a few countries away. Over in Monte-Carlo, royals were stepping out for a formal occasion of their own: Monaco National Day.
Princess Caroline, also known as the Princess of Hanover—daughter of Prince Rainier III of Monaco and Grace Kelly—made an especially stunning cameo for a gala honoring the holiday, wearing a fiery red asymmetrical cape gown.
The number appears to be the Stella McCartney Cecilia cape-effect gown, but the exact style is currently sold out online. However, a similar versions are still available to shop.
Princess Caroline wore a matching clutch and dangling jeweled earrings, along with daring black and gold cage sandals. Her white arm-length gloves added a touch of Old Hollywood glamour, reminiscent of her late mother.
She was also seen wearing the Grand Cross of the Order of Saint Charles, the highest honor of chivalry in Monaco. The princess wore the jeweled badge on a red and white sash—referencing the official colors of the principality's flag—over her dress.
Meanwhile, her daughter-in-law, Beatrice Casiraghi (née Borromeo), appeared behind her in a gold Giorgio Armani gown.
Before the evening festivities, Princess Caroline joined other members of the royal family at the daytime ceremonies.
