Before you begin sticking wallpaper, close all windows and doors. Airing the room will be possible only after the wallpaper has completely dried.
For cutting laywallpaperface down and cut into canvases. The length of the canvas should be equal to the height of the wall plus overlap. The overlap is about 10 centimeters. Also of great importance in the correct cutting wallpaper is a picture. Ifwallpapercontain large patterns, they should not be cut off at the top of the canvas.Be sure to when cutting combine patterns at the junction of the canvas. To do this, place two canvases side by side so that the figures match.
Whenwallpapercut, start applying glue to them. Put the canvas wallpaper in the form of a stack facing the table or floor. Then, pushing one sheet at a time, apply glue to the back of the wallpaper. After applying the glue, let the wallpaper lie down for a while so that it becomes saturated. To do this, tuck the upper part of the web by 2/3 of the length, and the lower one by 1/3.
If you will gluewallpaperoverlap, glue the first canvas from the window. If, however, butt, the first canvas can be glued from any angle. Since flat angles are rarely found in our time, make a small overlap on the adjacent side. Be sure to draw a vertical line from the ceiling to the wall. This line can be made with a plumb line or level, it will provide a more even and easy pasting of the walls with wallpaper. Next, cover the wall with adhesive mortar and proceed to pasting. Take the canvas by the top edge, gently unfold it and press it against the wall. The canvas must be aligned vertically. It is also recommended to leave a small overlap on the ceiling.
When gluing the canvas, watch for the appearance of air bubbles - they need to be smoothed using a dry cloth or roller. After sticking, carefully cut the overlaps of the wallpaper above and below.
The following sheets are prepared and glued in the same way. The only difference is that the vertical line is not needed, and the joints of the wallpaper must be rolled with a rubber roller.
Glue the window and door openings first on one side, then on the remnants of wallpaper above and below the openings. Make sure that the patterns coincide on the canvases when pasting walls. After that, the whole canvas is glued on the other side of the opening.
When drying the wallpaper, do not allow drafts and overheating of the room.
