Apple-Sour Cream Crisp with Walnuts and Chocolate Chips

Crunchy walnuts and flecks of gooey chocolate take a simple apple crisp to the next level.

1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 c. granulated sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
Pink Lady or Gala apples
1/2 c. walnuts
1/2 c. chocolate chips (one or a combination of semi-sweet and bittersweet)
- Lightly butter a 9-inch pie dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the sour cream, cream cheese, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg and set aside.
- Peel, core, and cut the apples into 1/2-inch pieces. Add to the bowl with the cream cheese mixture and mix and toss to coat. Fold in the walnuts and chocolate chips then transfer to the prepared pie dish.
